This 4 week class begins on November 19th and meets weekly until December 10th

Want to learn more about the mechanics of glazing? Have experience and want to learn more techniques? Having troubles and need some help trouble shooting? THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU! We will dive into glazes, their applications and why they are used the way they are used. Great class for experimenting and getting to the heart of our craft. Everyones experienced a disappointing glaze firing but it doesn’t have to be so hit or miss.

Students will be given 2 premade bisque items per week to use as canvas to execute techniques demonstrated in class.

MEMBERS ONLY: may bring their own bisque-ware (limit 2 items per week up to 1.5lbs in size) to experiment on. Please see revised ticket pricing for this option.

Late Arrival Policy: If for any reason outside of the Studios control (exemptions for state and national emergencies), you are tardy or entirely miss class one or more of the following may occur:

-Up or until 15 minutes after class is scheduled to begin; participants forfeit the right to the entirety of the demonstration.

-Up or until 15 minutes after class is scheduled to begin; participants forfeit one of three attempts to create a piece on the potter’s wheel. (one piece may still be kept under prepaid class cost (additional costs may apply))

-15 – 20 minutes after class is scheduled to begin; participants will be turned away but will be allowed to reschedule to a different day with an administration fee of 30% applied per person rescheduled and understand there will be no refund or transfers of monies to PYOP activities. 

– 20 minutes after class is scheduled to begin guests will be considered a “No Show” and Cafe Monet will follow policy for such occurrence.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that registration is a firm commitment to attend and there are no refunds.  If you cannot make it due to a health or family emergency we will offer up a studio voucher so you can reschedule to a future class up to 24 hours prior to the class (or first class if a series) for full amount paid, but you can also have someone else you choose take your place. Amount paid may or may not be directly comparable to other events or classes.

No Show / Missed Class Policy:  If participants do not come to one or more of their scheduled class(es) they will forfeit the lost class(es) and will not be given store credit, refunds, or vouchers to use for any future classes.

Each workshop is unique and requires different supplies to be prepared and will be provided by Cafe Monet. Our studio is BYOB so feel free to bring your favorite drinks to enjoy with your project.
