MEMBERS STUDIO

Members are encouraged to take part in our long term classes and workshops.

Workshops include: Advanced Throwing & Glazing, Slip Casting & Hand Building with many more to come!

We offer mid-range firings for clay

Our studio fires to mid range temperatures (^05 bisque & ^6 glaze). Members are allowed to bring in approved outside glazes for use as well as use in house glazes.

Your own personal space for work in progress

Members have their own shelves so that when their pieces come out of our kiln they can be easily sorted and placed back on the members shelfs for quick pick up.

Use our tools or bring your own

Tools for throwing, hand building, trimming and more are provided by the studio but members are welcome to bring in custom or personal tools to use.

Cafe Monet offers something that seemingly few studios in Austin do: flexibility. As a full time grad student, getting to the pottery studio during business hours is almost impossible. Being able to come and go as I please and work in an incredibly well-equipped space has been a game changer in maintaining my love for pottery.
